The newest addition to the area’s Winterfest attractions is Christmas Wonderland at Smokies Stadium presented by Shadrack. This new Winterfest attraction offers guests a one mile drive through experience complete with hundreds of thousands of LED lights dancing perfectly to Christmas music. Admission to Christmas Wonderland at Smokies Stadium presented by Shadrack is $10 per car M-Th, $12 per car F-Su, $15 per activity van and $20 per bus. The attraction will be open nightly from November 6, 2009 – January 3, 2010 and proceeds benefit area charities. Of course, there are still millions of Winterfest lights all along the Parkway in Sevierville that guests can enjoy absolutely free. Guests are also encouraged to pick up a free pair of Winterfest in 3D Glasses at the Sevierville Visitor Center (1.5 miles from I-40 Exit 407) while supplies last. These glasses help wearers see Winterfest in a whole new light while viewing displays throughout Sevierville and the Smoky Mountains area (the glasses shift every point of light into a snowflake). You may also note that Sevierville is swapping to LED light displays. Currently about 75% of the displays are LED which provides a wider variety of colors and saves energy. By Winterfest of 2010-11, Sevierville’s displays will be 100% LED lights. For a complete list of Smoky Mountain Winterfest Events in Sevierville, Tennessee, click here. |
